Turkish 100 Piastres Gold Coin Information
Also known under the moniker of Kurush, all coins were minted from the late 1990s to the early 2000s to commemorate the late Turkish President Mustafa Kemal Atatürk who is depicted on the obverse side of the coin.
Accompanying his image, the text states HAKIMIYET MILLETINDIR ANKARA (Dominance is the nation of Ankara) and TURKIYE CUMHURIYETI (Republic of Turkey).
This coin weighs 7.21 grams and is struck from 22-carat gold, the vintage nature of this coin will make this a great addition to any collection.
The addition of the two numbers on the reverse side indicates the year of coinage, (1923 + 87 = 2000).
The dimensions of this coin are identical to that of the standard British Gold Sovereign.
